ABOUT PEOPLE’S HERITAGE COLLECTIVE
About People’s Heritage Collective
People’s Heritage Collective is a consultancy dedicated to strengthening the stories, cultures and experiences that shape our shared heritage. We work with museums, cultural organisations and natural heritage sites to rebalance narratives, deepen cultural safety and create environments where more people feel recognised, respected and able to belong.
Although PHC is led by a single practitioner, the name reflects the way we work: collaboratively, relationally and in partnership with communities and specialist colleagues whose insight enriches every project. This collective ethos ensures each piece of work is grounded in lived experience, shaped with care and delivered with integrity.
About Nicole
PHC is led by Dr Nicole Fielding, who brings together an academic background in archaeology and heritage conservation science with 15 years’ experience in equity, diversity and inclusion practice.
Her work blends these fields to help organisations navigate complex stories, cultural safety and meaningful organisational change. Nicole’s approach is reflective, justice‑oriented and rooted in the belief that heritage is strongest when it honours the full richness of lived experience.
Working with the People’s Heritage Collective
Working with PHC begins with a conversation that helps us understand your context, your aims and the stories you are working with. From there, we shape a collaborative, values‑driven partnership that supports your organisation to move forward with clarity and confidence. Whether you are exploring reinterpretation, cultural safety, organisational development or natural heritage inclusion, we offer a thoughtful, people‑centred approach shaped around your needs.
If you would like to explore how we might work together, we would be glad to talk.
